In this module of the course, you will apply the rhetorical analysis strategies that you learned in Module 4 to a visual text. During class, we may examine a variety of types of images, including photographs, advertisements, and political posters. While the types of texts may differ from what we analyzed in Module 4, many of the techniques of analysis will be familiar. We will still be working to identify pathos, logos, and ethos. We will still be working to identify messages and cultural contexts.

As in the previous modules, you will complete a discussion board forum. You will also create a formal analysis assignment, the Visual Argument. This module will occupy roughly 2 weeks of the course.
